Long before "Anniyan" or "Ponniyin Selvan," a struggling Vikram provided the full dubbed voice for Prabhu Deva in Shankar's 1994 blockbuster Kadhalan!
When director Shankar directed the romantic thriller Kadhalan (1994), dance legend Prabhu Deva starred as the lead hero. To complement Prabhu Deva's high-energy performance, the makers brought in Chiyaan Vikram to lend his voice during dubbing.

During the early to mid-1990s, Vikram regularly worked as a dubbing artist for leading men while carving out his own path as an actor.
