The Complete Story
The story begins in Los Angeles, USA, where Nachiappan (Nassar) runs a successful Indian restaurant. He has twin sons, Vishwanathan (Visu) and Ramamoorthy (Ramu), played by Prashanth in dual roles. Nachiappan carries a painful past: his twin brother Pechiappan and sister-in-law treated his late wife poorly, which created a deep fear of non-twin family dynamics. As a result, Nachiappan swears that his twin sons will only marry twin sisters!
Enter Madhumitha (Aishwarya Rai), a kind-hearted woman from Chennai who arrives in L.A. with her brother and grandmother for an urgent brain surgery. Visu, a medical resident, helps them navigate the hospital system, and along the way, Visu and Madhumitha fall deeply in love.
When Nachiappan learns about their relationship, he firmly rejects the match because Madhumitha does not have a twin sister. Wanting to help the lovers unite, Madhumitha's clever grandmother cooks up a wild plan: Madhumitha will pretend to have an identical twin sister named "Vaishnavi" who is shy and traditional.
The family travels back to India for a double wedding. Madhumitha faces the hilarious and exhausting challenge of constantly switching outfits and personalities to act as both sisters simultaneously! Naturally, Ramu falls in love with the imaginary "Vaishnavi." After a series of comedic mix-ups, emotional confrontations, and family secrets coming to light, Nachiappan realizes the depth of their genuine love and gives his blessing for their marriage.
